Kansas State star quarterback Freeman to enter NFL draft
The Kansas State Wildcats will lose their junior quarterback Josh Freeman as he said Thursday he will enter the upcoming NFL draft this spring. The 6-6- 238 pound Freeman will probably go in the second round or could possibly go in the first round because of his humongous size and his cannon for an arm according to some scouts.
"I've done all the research," said Freeman, who is 6-6, 238 pounds. "Kansas State is starting over and this is what I've always wanted to do. The time is right." Freeman also added that with former coach Ron Prince ousted in favor of former coach Bill Snyder that his decision was a little easier. He had a great relationship with Prince on and off the gridiron.
Freeman finished the year with 2,045 yards passing to go with 20 touchdowns for a quarterback rating of 136.48... His best game this year was against the #1 Oklahoma Sooners where he finished 29-51 for 478 yards passing with 3 touchdowns, but did have 3 interceptions.
