In the midst of a season ending his loss at home to the Miami Dolphins that caused the New York Jets to miss the playoffs, the Jets running back Thomas Jones said that Brett Favre should have been benched.

"The other day, the three interceptions really hurt us. I mean, that's just reality," Jones told the radio station. "If I were to sit here and say, 'Oh, man, it's OK,' that's not reality. ... I don't like it, I know everybody else on the team doesn't like it. "If somebody is not playing well, they need to come out of the game," Jones told Hot 97 FM. That may be reality to Jones, but why was he not calling out Favre when the team was winning? Why not call himself out when he fumbles? It kills me to watch players blame other team-mates when they miss the playoffs, or lose a game in general like Terrell Owens for the Dallas Cowboys.

I can understand that Favre did have three picks, but he is part of the reason that they were in contention to begin with. I am not in the locker room and don`t know what truly goes on between players, but when you win as a team you should lose as a team. The NFL is a 100 percent team game period. When you start dividing each other by calling other players out, you better be ready to take the heat when you mess up.
