Steve Smith proving his worth for Carolina
The Carolina Panthers scouting department hit the bulls-eye when they saw the talent Carolina Panther Steve Smith possessed. Lucky for Carolina, he was still there when he it was their turn to pick. This 5`9 - 185 pound man, plays like he is 6`5 - 220 on every down. Every defense must account for him on every down. That is how fast and strong Smith is.
Since he has been with the Panthers, Smith has played in 2 NFC Championship games and 1 Super Bowl. Most of Carolina`s offensive success has been run through him because he gets the job done and he is so hard to tackle in the open field. Look at his stats for the year: 73 catches for 1,287 yards and 6 touchdowns. Remember, he has missed 2 games due to suspension in which he is very sorry for. Also these awesome stats are coming from a run first smash-mouth offense.
They must find ways to keep giving him the ball if the Panthers want to make a deep run in this years playoffs. In my opinion, Steve Smith is the best offensive player that has ever dawned a Panther Jersey. He does a lot for the community on his own time and he is very much a family first guy from what I gather. His heart is just as big as his play on the field, it just doesn`t get mentioned as much.....
