Now that the NFL season has come to an end officially, there was three NFL coaches fired. To no surprise, the Detroit Lions fired Coach Rod Marinelli after three seasons. He was 10-38 and an embarrassing 0-16 this year, which is a first in the NFL.

The Cleveland Browns fired their head coach Romeo Crennel a day after firing their general manager Phil Savage. Crennel was 4-12 this season, and 24-40 in his four years as Browns coach. Cleveland didn`t score an offensive touchdown in its last six games. After going 10-6 last season, the Browns gave him a contract extension through 2011. But another season of at least 10 losses for Cleveland was too much to endure.

Finally, the New York Jets fired Coach Eric Mangini after the team spent major money on the likes of Brett Favre and Kris Jenkins just to name a few. They were expected to make a run at the playoffs, but lost at home in the season finale to the Miami Dolphins who are now playoff bound. Mangini had 2 winning seasons in 3 years with the Jets, but his team lost four of its final five games and missed the playoffs.
