Whether the New York Giants saw it coming or not, it came! The Philadelphia Eagles Brian Westbrook literally ran through the Giants defense. In 2 of the Giants losses, they have allowed exactly 144 yards on the ground.   Westbrook finished the game with 33 carries good for 131 yards and 1 touchdown. He also had 6 catches for 72 yards and 1 touchdown.

The Eagles lead 3-0 when Westbrook broke off a 31-yard run with 1:52 left in the first half, to make it 10-0 Philadelphia at halftime. The Giants would fight back in the second half. Kevin Dockery blocked a Neil Rakers field goal attempt, then ran it back 71 yards for a touchdown to make it 10-7 Eagles. But with 13:38 to go in the game, Donavon McNabb once again hooked up with Westbrook for a 40 yard touchdown pass  to make it 17-7 Eagles.

That score deflated the New York faithful in attendance. The Giants just coudn`t get going on offense or defense today. Eli Manning threw for a season high last week, now threw for a season low 123 yards today. They seem to be distracted by the Plaxico Burress shooting incident, whether they admit it or not. However, they clinched the NFC East with Dallas and Tony Romo losing to Pittsburgh and Ben Roethlisberger 20-13.
