Panthers and Giants set for Sunday Night Showdown

The football gods must be keeping up with the NFL this season. The Carolina Panthers and the New York Giants are set for a major showdown this Sunday night, for a possible #1 seed in the NFC division. Both teams come in at 11-3 on the season. The Giants have stumbled on tough times of late. They have lost to Donavon McNabb and the Eagles, as well as Tony Romo and the Cowboys back to back. The Panthers have been hot of late, especially with their run game and their offense.
This could be a preview of the NFC Championship Game. New York will be lead by Eli Manning who is missing his big target Plaxico Burress, from suspension. Derrick Ward and Ahmad Bradshaw, will try to take the load off Manning if star back Brandon Jacobs can`t go due to injury.
The Panthers who have one of the best one-two punch in backs Jonathan Stewart and DeAngelo Williams, will try to take the load off quarterback Jake Delhomme. Look for Dehomme to hook up with star receiver Steve Smith and company all game long.
These two teams have excellent defenses and expect to challenge each other all game long. New York has a Super Bowl under Coach Tom Coughlin and Carolina has Coach John Fox who has been to one. This has the makings of an instant classic on paper. Great defenses and great players make this the game to watch this week for sure!
