Florida`s Tebow should win a second Heisman…
After one of the most guttiest performances in college football this year, Tim Tebow of the Florida Gators showed why he is worthy of a second consecutive Heisman Trophy. He kept his team going in a 31-20 victory, on an Alabama team that had only given up 28 points its previous 4 games. With his--will I run or will I pass demeanor, Tebow is just the best to come around in quiet sometime!
Look at his stats this year. 174 attempts with 268 completions, good for a 64.9 % completion rate. He has thrown for over 2500 yards with 28 touchdowns and just two interceptions. That gives him a quarterback rating of 176.7 for the year. Remember this is in the SEC that he is doing this in. Perhaps the toughest conference in America! Last year Tebow`s stats were even better. However, Florida lost more and certainly learned more. This year he has learned to be more balanced for the team. That`s what separates him from Sam Bradford of Oklahoma, and Colt McCoy of Texas!
Don`t get me wrong, I think Bradford and McCoy are two great players for their respective teams, but Tebow went up against the nation`s number one team and won. That`s what Heisman winners do. They carry their team in big games like Tim Tebow did on Saturday!
