The Detroit Lions could join only one other team in NFL history today to end the NFL season without a win. Fans don`t show up to their games anymore, the car manufacturing plants are on life support financially, and the football team really hasn`t done anything since the days of Barry Sanders. They have went through countless quarterbacks, first round picks(busts) wide-receivers, coaches, and yet still can`t find the formula for winning.

They come into today`s finale against Green Bay, 1-22 since the middle of last season and haven't won since Dec. 23, 2007 when they defeated the Kansas City Chiefs. They are currently 27th in points(16.5), 30th in total yards(265.1), 26th in pass yards(182.7), 30th in rush yards(82.4), and last in giving up rushing yards, points, and rushing yards per game. Other than that their headed for a first round bye with home field advantage through out the playoffs.

I`m sure that at least some of the 1976 Buccaneers are watching today`s game, to see if they join them in infamy as the only win-lessteams in NFL football. Tampa Bay went 0-14 that year and Detroit will be in a league of their own with 0-16.
