Colt McCoy-AP Player of the Year…

photo credit: Neeta Lind The Texas Longhorns quarterback Colt McCoy was named the Associated Press offensive player of the year in the Big 12 Conference. Strangely enough, he didn`t make the Big 12 A.P. All Big 12 First Team. How crazy is that? It`s about as crazy as the same way that Texas got left out of the Big 12 Title game, in favor of the Oklahoma Sooners! Why not, everything else has been backwards for this great Longhorn football team.
Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford beat McCoy by one vote, which caused McCoy to miss making the first team. Texas Tech Red Raider Graham Harrell was the other quarterback to get a vote out of the 20 votes. After Harrell got his four votes, the picks were determined to either Bradford or McCoy. Three votes went to Bradford and that made it where McCoy got left off of the ballot.
I`m sure that Colt McCoy will be the first to tell you that he would gladly switch all of his personal honors for a chance to play in the Big12 title game! He always has a team first attitude, which is not easy to find these days. Colt would easily get my first team vote if I had one. He leads by example!
