Since 2000, there has been some of the most dominate NFL teams that the league has ever seen. These teams are lead by future hall of fame quarterbacks, wide receivers, and other great players just to name a few. This list is wins, and winning %, and games played after October, when the season really gets interesting. Also, playoff games are not counted in this top 5 NFL list.

  • 1)New England Patriots-53-17 (.757)  This team has been lead by Tom Brady and has seen Super Bowl wins and consecutive playoff appearances under coach and mastermind Bill Belichek. Brady has the likes off receivers Randy Moss and New England great Troy Brown to throw to all these years, just to name a couple. Look for the Patriots to continue their impressive playoff run in the future.
  • 2)Philadelphia Eagles-49-22 (.690) Lead by veteran Donovan McNabb out of Syracuse, this team is impressive year in and year out. Though as McNabb goes, the Eagles usually go, this team always has one of the best defenses every year and one of the hardest hitting secondaries in NFL Football. Bryan Westbrook is a natural staple in their backfield and a very tough back to bring down. With head coach Andy Reid at the helm, look for Philadelphia to keep winning and remaining on this list.
  • 3)Pittsburgh Steelers-48-23-1 (.674) After losing coach Bill Cowart to retirement, the Steelers hired Mike Tomlin. So far he has kept the winning tradition alive in Pittsburgh. It helps to have a 6`5 241 pound quarterback name Ben Roethlisberger calling the signals on the field for you. Another reason the Steelers have had so much success the last 8 years, is because of their defense and smash-mouth running game. Jerome Bettis ( whose nick-name 'THE BUS") pummeled over defenses for years before retiring with a Super Bowl in 2005. The future now looks even brighter for them with back Willie Parker. Every year he is top 10 material in rushing.
  • 4)Green Bay Packers-48-24 (667) No surprise here. Future hall of fame quarterback Brett Favre has lead this franchise to unbelievable heights. Besides putting them back on the NFL Football map, he has brought winning back to Green Bay and excited NFL fans everywhere. With Favre now leading the New York Jets, Aaron Rodgers now has enormous shoes to fill in Green Bay as their new field general. If he can stay healthy and the Packers can continue to play great defense, look for them to continue their winning ways.
  • 5)Indianapolis Colts-46-27 (.630) The Colts seem to always start the NFL season out 10-0 before losing their first game. Is it any surprise? Head coach Tony Dungy always has his players trust and confidence, something few NFL teams have today. Pardon me, I forgot to mention future hall of famer Peyton Manning. Is it any wonder that the Colts are on this top 5 NFL list? Manning has amassed records and already won a Super Bowl since 2000. His receivers include Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne just to name a few. They have had a stellar defense year in and year out. With defensive players of the year Dwight Freeney and Bob Sanders, it is surprising that they aren`t higher on this list!!
