Have you ever thought of just how hard it is to win a game in the NFL?  Imagine the weight every NFL quarterback feels every Sunday when he puts on his Reebok Jersey.  I can see it being easier to win at home with the crowd fired up and behind you. How about  winning on the road for an NFL quarterback? You have to go into another teams stadium, and not only win the game, but fight their crowd all game long!!! Here is is a list of the top 3 quarterbacks, with the best road record since the Super Bowl Era began in 1966. This list is based on winning percentage, and a minimum of at least 15 NFL road games.

  • 1) Tony Romo-14-3 (.824)  Say what you want about him Redskin fans. The man knows how to win at other teams venue. Dallas seems to lose big games at home, but always pull it out on the road when they aren`t supposed to. Romo has so many weapons to throw to like Terrell Owens and Jason Witten, it`s no wonder he comes through when it counts most. To have a stud of a running back, name Marion Barber, just makes it easier for Romo to continue to win on the  road in the future.
  • 2) Joe Montana-61-20 (.753) What more can be said about the legend form Notre Dame? He knew how to win on the road better than any quarterback in NFL history in my opinion. Montana finished his career with 273 touchdowns and over 40,000 yards passing. It helped that he had star receiver Jerry Rice, Dwight Clark, and Roger Craig there to support him.  At home or away, Montana is considered the best quarterback in NFL history and that`s one of many reasons why he knew how to win on the road in the NFL!!!
  • 3) Tom Brady-41-14 (.745) "Tom Terrific" as he is known around the NFL for his ability to simply win in the NFL.  Brady seems to welcome adversity on the road in the NFL. His amazing road record is unbelievable. Think for a minute, he has went into other teams stadiums 41 times in his career and won. Some NFL teams don`t win but one road game a year. That just shows you how good this future Hall of Famer is under pressure on the road. Whether he is throwing to Randy Moss or Wes Welker, Brady won`t settle for a loss on the road in the NFL. That`s why he is so good on the road in the NFL!!!
