Tennessee “two-steps” Detroit

photo credit: theSuperStar The Tennessee Titans did about everything you could possibly do to the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving day. They ran their way to a 47-10 win and even brought back Vince Young in the last quarter. Rookie Chris Johnson got the scoring started for the Titans on a 6-yard run to the end zone, for a 7-0 lead. He then went mad with 8:21 to go in the first quarter. He broke off a 58-yard touchdown run to put Tennessee up 14-0, which would show to be all the Titans would need.
Johnson finished the game with 16 carries for 125 yards and 2 touchdowns. His counterpart, LenDale White, had a very similar game with 23 rushes for 106 yards and 2 touchdowns as well. The Titans have relied heavily on quarterback Kerry Collins, while waiting on the ground game to get back on track. Collins ended the game 11-18 for 127 yards passing and no turnovers or touchdowns. With the game well in hand, Collins was pulled in favor of Vince Young. This was Young`s first action, since spraining his knee and being replaced by Collins. The 47 points scored was the most by the Titans since they scored 48 in 2004 against Green Bay.
