In a wild and turbulent season for the Oakland Raiders, that has included firing their head coach, promoting one that did terrible as a college coach, they release starting cornerback DeAngelo Hall. Hall`s stock has dropped faster than the stock market in recent weeks. The two-time Pro Bowler has given up more yards than any defender in NFL Football this year, according to Stats inc.

In week one, Hall was constantly burnt by rookie receiver Eddie Royal in a blow-out 41-14 loss to the Denver Broncos. Recently as last week, he was toasted by Michael Jenkins on a 37-yard touchdown pass from rookie Matt Ryan, in a 24-0 home loss by his former team Atlanta. Hall was traded by the Falcons in the off-season to shore-up their defense. Oakland gave up a very valuable 2nd-round draft pick for him. Oakland will pay him almost 8 million for playing in 8 games. Hall said "It was a blessing being released."
