For the season that was supposed to be lost due to countless injuries, the New England Patriots are showing why they are true champions.They are also showing why winning Super Bowls does more than make you stronger as a team. On week one this year, Captain Tom Brady went down after being tackled and is now on injured reserve with a torn ACL and MCL injury. Most people wrote off the Patriots. Saying they couldn`t win without him. They are now in the thick of the AFC EAST race with the New York Jets and Brett Favre. Who would of thought that? That just goes to show you what a wizard of a coach they have in Bill Bilichick.

The confidence that now breeds in backup Matt Cassel is driving this team. I know he doesn`t have the Pro Bowl numbers that Tom Brady puts up, but he definitely has the grit and determination to hold down the ship until Brady`s return.  Also this defense is determined not to lose anything that it has gained over the years. Remember, they lost Asante Samuel in free agency to Philadelphia, and Rodney Harrison has been hurt for the most part of the season. Bilichick inserts Ellis Hobbs for Samuel and Hobbs immediately plays great. Currently at 6-3, New England is doing just fine thank you!!!
