Kansas State brings back “Coach Snyder”
The Kansas State Wildcats are bringing back the most successful coach it has ever known. Just weeks after announcing that they are firing current coach Ron Prince, they are replacing him with former coach Bill Snyder. Prince, will finish coaching the team until its final game and then take it to the house. Snyder retired in 2005, and the job was thought to be left in good hands with Prince. Ask any Wildcat fan how things have been in the Big 12 since Snyder retired. Trust me, they are rolling out the red carpet for Snyder.
In Coach Snyder`s 17 seasons at K-State, he guided the Wildcats to 136 wins and averaged 7.9 wins per season. I would say that 6 wins in the powerhouse Big 12 is amazing in its self. Snyder also guided Kansas State to 11 winning seasons, with 11 Bowl appearances and 6 Bowl wins. Just think before Snyder came to Kansas State, 12 head coaches that had been there before him had combined for just 116 wins. Remember, he had 136 alone in 17 seasons! This move for the Wildcats will not only help their recruiting, but will more importantly put fans back in the K-State Stadium. Great move by the University to bring back their legend!
