In one of the greatest games that easily lived up to all the hype for once, the Texas Longhorns handed #1 Oklahoma Sooners their first loss of the season in a thriller Hollywood couldn`t have wrote better. From fake punts, to unbelievable runs and catches to amazing quarterback play from both schools, this game will be remembered forever. Texas bent on many occasions, but didn`t break. Lead by quarterback Colt McCoy, who finished the game on 28-35 passing attempts with 277 yards and one touchdown, seemed to always keep his composure even when the Longhorns trailed by as much as 11 early in the first half.

Trailing 14-3, senior Jordan Shipley to a 96-yard kickoff to the house, to bring Texas back to 14-10, and let Oklahoma know they came to play, not to observe. Shipley showed shades of Wes Walker's speed every time he caught a pass, finishing with 11 catches for 112 yards and one touchdown. Every time it looked like the Sooners would flex their muscle and #1 ranking, Texas would answer back with a field goal or touchdown. Sam Bradford did all he could to keep his team undefeated, finishing with 28-39 passing attempts, with 387 yards and 5 touchdowns.

Chris Oqbonnaya turned a short gain into a 62-yard gain when he busted through the Oklahoma defense to put Texas ahead for good. The 45-35 victory by Texas was their biggest win since their rose bowl victory in 2006 over the supposedly unbeatable USC Trojans that year. The 80 points was the most ever scored in the rivalry`s history. Many in the college football have questioned Texas this year saying that they don`t have an identity. I wonder what they are saying now?
