First BCS Blueprint listed today
College footballs first BCS poll came out today, with some of the usual suspects and some new. Here they are number 1-10.
)Texas Longhorns. No surprise here. Already with a big win over then #1 Oklahoma(45-35), the Longhorns also beat #11 Missouri 56-31. If they can survive a brutal schedule with games left against #6 Oklahoma State, at #8 Texas Tech, and #23 Kansas they will be in the BCS title game.
)Alabama Crimson Tide. It didn`t take coach Nick Saban long to restore Alabama to prominence. They opened up the season, blowing out then ranked #9 Clemson Tigers at Death Valley. They then went into Athens, Georgia and dominated a Georgia Bulldog team that was ranked #3. They still have a tough road ahead, with games against #13 LSU, and at Tennessee. However, with Saban coaching and John Parker Wilson quarterbacking, this could be the year the Tide rolls.
)Penn State Nittany Lions. Joe Paterno finally has his Nittany Lions where he wants them. Big wins over #22 Illinois and Oregon State(WHO BEAT #1 USC) and not to mention Wisconsin, the Nittany Lions can control their destiny with their toughest game left on paper against #9 Ohio State . Penn State must remain consistent and not have a game where they slip-up and lose their BCS chances for their school.

)Oklahoma Sooners. Their only loss was to a very deep and impressive Texas Longhorn team in which their is no shame in losing to. They have already defeated a ranked Kansas team. However, the road is tough for the Sooners. They still have to play #8 Texas Tech and at #6 Oklahoma State. With coach Bob Stoops and Sam Bradford quarterbacking, don`t count the Sooners out with plenty of football left to play.
)USC Trojans. Their only loss so far was to an unranked Oregon State team that just came in and ran wild on their defense. Since then, the Trojans have mowed down their opponents. Marc Sanchez has seemed to get better week by week with his play at quarterback. Pete Carroll has the experience to take USC back to the BCS title game. Their only foreseeable tough game left is against Notre Dame.
)Oklahoma State Cowboys. The Cowboys are having their best season since 1988, when a running-back name Barry Sanders ran the backfield. Their biggest win so far is against Missouri when they were then ranked #3 and undefeated. But with a brutal schedule remaining with games against #1 Texas, at #8 Texas Tech, and #4 Oklahoma Sooners. They have their work cut out but have done well so far.
)Georgia Bulldogs. Since Georgia got smacked in the mouth against Alabama 41-30, the Bulldogs have not lost a game. Their biggest win so far was against then #22 Vanderbilt. They have a very difficult schedule remaining with games against ranked LSU, #10 Florida and at #18 Georgia Tech. Coach Mark Richt can lead them to a higher ranked game in the BCS, but the Bulldogs have got to put their opponents away.
.)Texas Tech Red Raiders. The Red Raiders have two big wins this season, over the likes of Nebraska 37-31 in overtime. They also beat Kansas State 58-28 in a blowout. But with games left against #1 Texas, #6 Oklahoma State, and at #4 Oklahoma Sooners. With quarterback Graham Harrell and wide-out Michael Crab-tree, anything is possible for Texas Tech.
)Ohio State Buckeyes. Their only blemish so far is a 35-3 but-kicking they received at the hands of Southern Cal. Since then they have had great play from true freshman Terrelle Pryor at quarterback. With big wins already against then #20 Michigan State, and at #18 Wisconsin. Their remaining games that could potentially cause problems for them are at#3 Penn State, and at #22 Northwestern.
)Florida Gators. With Tim Tebow running your offense on the field anything is possible. Will he run or throw? That`s what makes this Florida team so dangerous. Their biggest win so far is a home win in which they destroyed the LSU Tigers 51-21. Their only hiccup was against Ole Miss when they just couldn`t put them away in the swamp. Their toughest game left is at #7 Georgia. However, every game in the SEC is tough, home or away!!!
