Just when it looked like the Dallas Cowboys would be the team to beat, not only in their division but in the league, bam. Like a freight train falling out of the sky, the Washington Redskins brought back Dallas to reality with a 26-24 victory in Dallas. Behind another strong performance by quarterback Jason Campbell and an impressive ground game capped off by Clinton Portis the Redskins looked nothing like the team that lost to the New York Giants on week one.

Jason Campbell finished the game with 231 yards passing, two touchdowns, and a very effiencent 20 completions on 31 attempts. Then came Washington's ground game with Clinton Portis finishing with 121 yards on 21 attempts. After Dallas scored to lead 7-0, Campbell came roaring back hooking up with star receiver Santana Moss on a 53 yard connection to send a hush on the Texas Stadium crowd. The Redskins would hold off a late 2 minute comeback lead by Tony Romo connecting to receiver Miles Austin on an eleven yard touchdown.

Dallas down 26-24 after the Austin touchdown tried one last effort to win but Sam Hurd couldn't hang on to the football as it left his hands and fell on the Dallas sideline. Washington coach Jim Zorn said after the game that he enjoys watching his players take these strides, and that his team believes in what they are trying to accomplish. Whatever he has his team believing is showing on the field and in the locker room . Ladell Betts(runningback) said we have a great team and we feel like we can beat anyone anytime. When you out rush Dallas 161 yards to 44, and lead in time of possession with zero turnovers, I would believe in my coach and what everyone is trying to accomplish.
