Farve has career day in rout vs Cards
So much for that bum ankle that bothered future hall of famer Brett Favre during the week in practice. Brett Favre threw for a career high six touchdowns including three to receiver Laveranues Coles. Favre continues to seem ageless at 38, finishing Sundays 56-35 win over Arizona with 289 yards passing with 24 completions on 34 attempts. Favre had thrown five touchdowns three times before but none since 1998. He didn't even realize that he tied Broadway Joe Namath's team record of six TD passes set back in 1972 against Baltimore.
While telling reporters after the game that it was awesome throwing six TDs. Favre said that it`s just one game, don't expect six touchdowns every week. Maybe it was the throwback N.Y. Titan jerseys Favre and his teammates had on. Maybe it was his 256 consecutive games played streak. Whatever it was that evened the Jets record to 2-2, Brett Favre continued to show why he is an ageless wonder.
